Opened in 1979, Kapalua Tennis Garden is sculpted out of lush tropical foliage with stunning views. The hillsides bloom in a profusion of color. A perfect backdrop for the ten plexipave courts paired in tiered clusters; four lighted for night play. Each set of courts is secluded in landscaped privacy with its own viewing lanai.

Meet the Instructors

Jeff Smith

Jeff Smith brings over 25 years of playing experience to the Kapalua Tennis Garden.  A graduate from North Carolina State University, Jeff played college tennis on a full scholarship in the Atlantic Coast Conference.  He played singles & doubles all four years while at NCSU and played in the 1999 NCAA Division 1 Tournament.  Jeff was part of several Top 10 team wins during his college career.
 
Entering his 3rd year with PBI, Jeff has big expectations as Tennis Director, in leading the tennis program here at Kapalua. He wants to make sure that you have a wonderful tennis experience.
 
Jeff spends much of his free time with his wife Colleen, and daughter, Sky. They can oftentimes be found hiking through some really fun and exciting trails that the island offers.  He is very excited to be here and looks forward to meeting you!
 
 
Quinn Saine

Quinn Saine, a native of Peru, Indiana, joins Kapalua after two seasons as PBI Head Professional at Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage, California.

His success as a junior led to his playing four years of NCAA Division I varsity tennis at Western Kentucky University. His studies also included a semester abroad in Spain and an internship in the marketing department of a radio broadcast company with stations throughout Kentucky.

Quinn has also worked with PBI at the award-winning J.W. Marriott Desert Springs Resort and The Lake George Club, an exclusive private club in New York’s scenic Adirondacks region.

During his university summers, Quinn began coaching players of all ages and skill levels and discovered that he enjoyed teaching tennis as much as playing. Upon graduating from Western Kentucky with his Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing, he chose to pursue a career in tennis with PBI where he has the opportunity to combine his loves of tennis and travel, his studies in business, and his desire to share with others the enjoyment that tennis has given to him.
